Una de esas raras personalidades cuya fama se define por sus éxitos en lugar de sus errores, Hilary Duff se comporte con el tipo de confianza que corresponde a alguien que ha estado trabajando en la industria del entretenimiento durante 12 de sus 22 años, con apenas un paso en falso. Recién llegado de una función de resultados (y un trío) en Gossip Girl, el nativo de Texas es ahora nuestra chica de tapa de nylon
Su línea de ropa, Femme de DKNY Jeans:
Tengo que poner en las texturas que yo amaba y decirles acerca de las formas que me gusta. Diseñé ropa que creo que son básicos para mi armario. Creo esto realmente útil para las niñas que tienen que saber que ellos pueden mezclar de gama alta con gama baja, y usted no tiene que comprar un equipo completo de la forma en que su muestra en la tienda. Cada niña necesita una chaqueta de cuero grande, y cada niña necesita un par de pantalones vaqueros flacos negro.
En su estrecho vínculo con su madre:
Mi mamá es rad. Me siento tanto como ella. No sé si es un error caer de un F-bomba en la misma frase como de tu madre, pero tengo tanta suerte de tener a mi mamá. Ella me ha enseñado mucho y me ha dado tanto, y ella tiene un corazón abierto.
La experiencia de la fama:
Un dia entré en un centro comercial y fui rodeada por la gente. Yo sólo recuerdo haberme sentido muy diferente que los demás. Me sentí muy querida. Pero era extraño, al mismo tiempo. A mi no necesariamente me gusta caminar en un lugar y ser reconocida.
Tomando la parte de la actriz Olivia Burke en Gossip Girl:
Yo estaba un poco vacilante. Fue una especie de cerca de casa? entonces me di cuenta, yo nunca diría algo [que Olivia dice] como, Oh, esto es sólo para las cámaras. Creo que eso me hace tan diferente de algunas de las otras personas de mi edad. Al parecer durante un tiempo hubo gente que se odiaban mutuamente y yo sabía que ellos se odiaban, pero estaban en fotos juntos todo el tiempo, sonriente y levantando los brazos alrededor de la otra. Yo estaba como, tu estas en el mismo negocio que yo ¿cómo se puede hacer eso y sentirte bien? yo nunca haría eso.

“I got to bring in textures that I loved and tell them about the shapes that I like. I designed clothing that I feel are staples for my closet. I think that’s really helpful to girls who need to know they can mix high-end with low-end, and you don’t have to buy a complete outfit the way it’s shown in the store. Every girl needs a great leather jacket, and every girl needs a skinny pair of black jeans.”
On her close bond with her mother:
“My mom is rad. I feel I’m so much like her. I don’t know if it’s wrong to drop an F-bomb in the same sentence as your mother, but I’m so fucking lucky to have my mom. She’s just taught me so much and given me so much, and she has such an open heart.”
The experience of fame:
“I walked into a mall one day and was mobbed by people. And I just remember feeling really different than everyone else. I felt really loved. But it was weird at the same time. I don’t necessarily like to walk into a place and be recognized.”
Taking the part of starlet Olivia Burke on Gossip Girl:
“I was a little hesitant. It was kind of close to home… then I realized, I would never say something [that Olivia says] like, ‘Oh, this is just for the cameras.’ I think that’s what makes me so different from some of the other people my age. It seemed for a time there were people who hated each other – and I knew they hated each other – but they were in pictures together all the time, smiling and throwing their arms around each other. I was like, “You’re in the same business I am – how can you do that and feel okay? I so wouldn’t do that.”
